Rally Trivia is designed to operate without collecting personally identifiable information from event participants.
The mobile app:
- Does not require name or email registration
- Does not create persistent personal accounts
- Uses event access codes and team PINs that are not tied to a real-world identity
- Does not display advertising
- Does not use cross-app tracking
- Does not sell personal information
2. Information We Collect
We collect limited categories of data necessary to operate and improve the service.
A. Event Access Credentials
The app uses event access codes and team PIN codes. These credentials are session-based, are not tied to personal identities, and are not linked to names, emails, or other personal information.
B. Identifiers
We may automatically collect technical identifiers such as:
- IP address
- Device type and operating system
- App version
- General geographic region (city/state level)
These identifiers are used for security, performance monitoring, and service reliability.
C. Usage Data (Product Interaction)
We collect interaction data such as feature usage, session activity, screen transitions, and error events. This data is used only for analytics, app functionality, and product improvement.
Product interaction data is not linked to a user's identity.
D. Crash Data & Diagnostics
We use Microsoft Azure Application Insights for crash reporting, error logging, performance monitoring, and service availability monitoring.
Crash and diagnostic data may include error messages, stack traces, performance metrics, and device characteristics. This information is used strictly for app functionality, stability improvements, analytics, and security.
Diagnostic data is not used for advertising and is not linked to a personal identity.
E. Marketing Website Analytics
Google Analytics 4 — Google Analytics may collect IP address, device and browser information, page views, and referrer data. This is used to understand website performance and marketing effectiveness. Learn more at Google's partner sites policy.
Cloudflare Web Analytics — Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not track users across websites, and collects only aggregated, anonymized traffic metrics.
Website analytics do not affect the mobile app.
F. Contact Form Submissions (Website Only)
If you submit a demo request on our website, we may collect your name, email address, organization name, and event information. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
The mobile app itself does not collect names or email addresses.
3. Tracking & Advertising
Rally Trivia does not:
- Track users across third-party apps or websites
- Participate in cross-app tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework
- Request access to the advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Display third-party advertising
- Share data with advertising networks
- Sell personal information
We do not use data for behavioral advertising or advertising measurement.
4. How We Use Information
We use collected data to:
- Operate and maintain the app and platform
- Enable core functionality
- Monitor performance and uptime

We retain data only as long as necessary to maintain system reliability, investigate crashes and performance issues, and comply with legal obligations. Diagnostic data retention follows configured cloud provider retention policies.

We implement industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS encryption in transit, cloud-based infrastructure security controls, restricted administrative access, and secure secret management practices.
No system can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect data.
8. Sensitive Information
Rally Trivia does not intentionally collect financial account information, government-issued identification numbers, health information, biometric identifiers, precise location data, or contact lists.
9. Children's Privacy
Rally Trivia is designed for nonprofit organizations and corporate event planners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us at privacy@rallytrivia.com and we will promptly delete it.
10. International Users
Our services may be hosted in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using Rally Trivia, you consent to such processing.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access personal data, request correction, request deletion, restrict processing, or object to processing.
Because the app does not collect personally identifiable user accounts, most mobile app usage data cannot be directly tied to an individual.
